MEMORANDUM TO:FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY FROM: JAMES MOESER DATE: 10 JANUARY 2008 RE: CHANCELLOR'S AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND LEADERSHIP I am writing to request your assistance in identifying students who have demonstrated excellence in student activities and leadership. Among others, eighteen Chancellor's Awards are presented annually to individuals who have contributed substantially to the University community through exemplary service. Please think of students with whom you have worked, and nominate those whose individual achievement qualifies them for consideration of the Chancellor's Awards described herein. The awards are located on the nomination form. Each award has unique criteria. Consequently, each is presented to the individual most deserving as a result of extraordinary effort in the area of the specified criteria. In addition, some awards are designated for seniors, others for juniors, and the remaining are for students of any year including graduate and professional students. Please consider your nominations in light of all specified criteria. Nominations for the Chancellors Awards are now closed. Nominations were due by 5:00pm on Friday, February 15th These special awards will be presented at the Chancellor's Awards Ceremony, this year on April 16th. I appeal to you to help us find those students most deserving of this recognition. The Selection Committee needs and desires your input. Thank you
