2026 Chancellor’s Awards Ceremony Photo Gallery

On April 22, 2026, Chancellor Lee Harris Roberts, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and The Carolina Union welcomed faculty, staff, and students to the Great Hall at the Carolina Union for the 2026 Chancellor’s Awards – Carolina’s only campus-wide student recognition program.

The event celebrated students who dream boldly, grow deeply, and rise to meet the moment, alongside the faculty, graduate students, and staff whose dedication to undergraduate teaching and service shapes what it means to be a Tar Heel. Joining Chancellor Roberts on stage were Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Magnus Egerstedt, Senior Vice Provost for Student Success James Orr, PhD, Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Engagement Aaron Bachenheimer, Ed.D., and 2025–2026 Student Body President Adolfo Alvarez.
